6th February 2011
Windsurfing: Poole Harbour Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 21-24MPH Surf / Sea State: Flattish Air Temperature: 10`C Sea Temperature: Weather: Cloudy with some rain Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Stopped at H2O on the way down to get some more wetsuit glue. Running
repairs are starting to be a major feature of my windsurfing trips :-(
Strong wind on arrival so rigged the 5.7 thinking I need to be more active
in the lulls so that I can enjoy lighter rigs rather than always rigging a
6.2 or a 6.7 and muscling my way through
Was nuking to start with and took some time to get things sorted. Had a
couple of good runs and a couple of very overpowered runs.
Spent a lot of time struggling to get in the back footstrap which is
starting to be a common occurrence, but I am not sure why...... One theory
is that is is about 1inch further back that my old board, which means I
just keep kicking it, upsetting my balance and then 'stamp' my foot down to
try and get me back upright which upsets the board trim....
Anyway, good to be out, but a slightly frustrating session most of the
time
PS - Went to Boscombe Dene Chine and grabbed a couple of good shots
